Our weekend visit. to PA

This long weekend we visited Kim, Bill, and Connor. We always have had fun hanging out with Kim and Bill over the last 6+ years, but the last 16 months has been very special for us.

We get to make a real difference in Connor's life, and now he is learning so much so fast it is very exciting to participate in his growing as a person.

Saturday night I pulled the 3rd shift with the restless teething boy, and it was great to stay with him holding him for almost an hour and him feeling comforted enough to sleep on my shoulder. That is a good feeling.

There are a lot of great things I write about on this blog, but part of the reason I started this blog was to document Connor's continued growth. He is walking everywhere now and talking is not far away.

We also gave him his baseball tshirt from Turner Field in Atlanta. Chipper Jones.

Office moves and Toilet Bowls

Sorry it's been a while since I have been blogging, but last weekend I moved our office network, and I went in last Friday at 8am and left Saturday morning at 8:30 am. I am too old for "all nighters" at the bar or otherwise.

The T2 tennis season has been abysmal and we are 0-4 with 1 match left. We were supposed to play match #5 on this past Thursday, but it got rained out. The other team we were going to play was also 0-4. This makes this contest meaningless or per say the opposite of the superbowl. the toilet bowl. We play this coming Thursday.

On Thursday night we saw Brian, as he was on a business trip in Atlanta. We caught up and had chocolate waffles, and all is well with the AZ crew.

I am writing this from Malvern, PA at Kim and Bills "casa" just chillaxing.

More later. Keep it on the chips.

One of the funniest things ive seen in a while.

A walk off SLAM

Last night Mary Ruth and I went on a simple date night, and cashed in our 2 free tickets at Turner Field to watch the Bravos take on the err Expo de Montreal or as you now know them the Washington Nationals.

The Braves have a couple or young locals playing on the team. Brian Mc Cann and Jeff Franoceur. Down 3-5 in the bottom of the 9th Brian Mc Cann lead off the inning with a Home Run. 5 batters later... bases loaded 2 outs and Jeff Francoeur hit a 1-0 pitch out of the park. My first walk off grand slam I have ever witnessed... You will see more out of these two.

Game Recap here.

The Underdog's Gluteus Maximus

Well, after a loooonnngggg singles season, it is finally over. No plate, no new kswiss shoes, and no championship. In the elimination match I was tied with my opponent 5-5 and it looked like it was going to be another long match. Then (as the title states) I dove for the ball and hit the court, and just like that I pulled my err... left glute.

No more running to the net, or running at all. He won the first set 7-5 and the second set 6-3. It was over. I am disappointed, because I would have beaten him. He wasn't that good, but everything happens for a reason. I do know what my goals were when I set out on this season.

A regular season winning record (check) 5-2
One playoff win (check) I had 3
and to beat Billy Key (check) 7-6, 6-3

Mission accomplished.
